I Cannot Provide Medical Advice by Email

Many people have written asking for advice for themselves or a loved one. I regret to say that for obvious medical and ethical reasons I cannot provide medical advice through this website. I also cannot provide medical advice by phone or by email. This site contains general medical information and is not tailored to the needs of a specific individual. I can only provide medical advice to patients who are part of my medical practice.

If you have any medical questions I suggest you ask your doctor, or find an addiction specialist through the American or Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM or CSAM).

To Arrange a Presentation

If you're interested in arranging a presentation or lecture, please contact the office (416-920-2982). Some topics covered are: addiction, recognizing addiction, motivating change, withdrawal, detox methods, post-acute withdrawal, recovery, drug monitoring, relapse prevention, and return to work strategies.

New Patients

I only accept patients who are Canadian residents, because of insurance requirements. For all Ontario residents, sessions are covered by OHIP. I do not prescribe opiates. I DO NOT treat patients for addictions to opiates, heroin, methadone, oxycontin, and crystal methamphetamine.

My practice focuses on patients who are addicted to alcohol, tranquilizers, marijuana, or cocaine. If you are interested, please call the office and arrange a consultation.
